what 28 weeks looks like

I saw this picture over on the selby (which has some of the coolest house pictures I’ve ever seen) and saw an unfortunate resemblance to myself. One of the most difficult things about pregnancy seems to be the whole eating/weight gain issue… there’s the odd feeling in the beginning of being nauseous and starving for very specific things at the same time, the never being able to stop thinking about eating, even when stuffed from the last meal… the snide remarks you hear other people make about the unfortunate women that end up gaining 60 or 70 or 100 pounds… and the constant desire for odd fatty carby foods that used to not sound good at all. I spend half my time worrying that I’m gaining too much weight, and the other half worried that I haven’t gained enough when too many people make remarks about how small I look for being 7 months pregnant. I dunno. I’m trying to not think about it as much and just eat what I feel like I need to eat.

I was scrolling through Tag Surfer and came across the cookie monster picture and corresponding title. This was my first laugh of the day, so thanks.
I’m 27 weeks and look much like Mr. C. Monster myself. Look, there’s even the beginning of a double chin (she says through her oatmeal…)

Abbie I think you look fantastic!! Beautiful as always. I had to go back and look at my pictures of when I was about this far along and I think we look about the same size…and I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing we started at about the same weight and we’re pretty close in height. SO, in my expert opinion I think you’re doing great in the weight gaining department

hey- i just want to suggest you get some of those nudy pregnancy pictures taken. it will make you feel much more sexy.
Well, thanks ladies. you make me feel better, or at least not crazy. Though I don’t think any nudy pictures are going to help, truth be told. I feel pretty profoundly non-photogenic at the moment either way, and then there would be the problem of what to do with them.
OH. MY. GOSH> abbie, you look wonderful!!! actually i think if it is possible, you look more lovely than ever. and by the way, i carried you just like that… all out front. can’t WAIT to hug you!! pats for cora..
at least some bare belly photos are in order…on the second or third kid, your belly won’t be as hot as it is this time around.
